Lippy Surgery Center
Our specialty specific center has the capability to perform all ear,
nose and throat procedures. The anesthesiology department has a great
deal of experience in pediatric and in ENT anesthesia. Our operating and
recovery teams provide the highest quality care to our patients. The
center opened in 2008 and has state of the art equipment.
Administration
Gail Tereba is the office manager and patient advocate. She has been
with the practice for many years and uses her strong business background
to supervise and coordinate all
aspects of patient care..
Otology
This department deals with the diagnosis and treatment of hearing
disorders, medical and surgical. Treatment of chronic infections
including medical approaches as well as surgical treatment including
reconstruction after infection. Surgical treatments include tympanic
membrane repair, middle ear bone reconstruction, mastoid surgery and
BAHA surgery for single sided deafness. The most frequently done
procedure, other than tubes for children is stapedectomy for
otosclerosis (over 17,000 procedures). Various treatment strategies for
tinnitus are recommended. All forms of dizziness are diagnosed and
treated. Meniere’s patients are offered a wide array of treatments, both
medical and surgical with excellent results.
Nose Throat Head & Neck Department
All medical and surgical problems of the nose and throat are managed in
our office by Dr. Farmer. Nasal problems such as chronic sinusitis,
allergy, and nasal obstruction are diagnosed and treated with the most
up to date techniques. In office CT scan allows for rapid diagnosis.
Chronic sore throats, difficulty swallowing and reflux are evaluated as
well. Sleep apnea is accurately diagnosed and surgical alternatives are
offered to those patients who are candidates. Endoscopic exam of the
nose and throat as well as evaluation of hoarseness by fiber optics is
standard in the office. Complete examination of the patient with a neck
mass is performed with surgical excision in those patients who require
removal of a mass for diagnosis. Adults and children are seen for the
above ENT problems.
Audiology
The professionals within the audiology department perform the
hearing and diagnostic tests the physicians need to make a diagnosis and
determine the proper medical or surgical care. The audiologists can
answer your questions about hearing, hearing aids and assistive
listening devices. John M. Burkey, M.A. directs the audiology
department. He has published 2 books on hearing loss and hearing aids.
Balance Disorder Clinic
A team approach is used to find the cause of the balance problem and
to treat this problem completely. A patient who comes to the clinic
usually spends several hours. A battery of tests is performed to
determine the cause of the balance problem and a treatment plan is
formulated. Follow-up visits are scheduled in accordance with each
patient’s individual problem.
Business Office
The business office consists of a team of dedicated
reimbursement/insurance specialists who administer and oversee all
coding, billing, insurance, accounts receivable, and enrollment in
insurance plans. The many functions performed by the business office
staff include; pre certification for surgeries and in-office procedures,
posting procedures and payment, collection follow-up, and insurance
submissions. The business office provides financial assistance
information and payment plans to enable all patients to be seen by our
physicians. Fran Geltch, CPC is the director of the business office.
Hearing Aid Center
The Lippy Group Hearing Aid Center helps people to compensate for
hearing losses that
cannot be improved through medication or surgery. The center has
available a complete
selection of hearing instruments ranging from conventional hearing aids
to completely in the canal and digital hearing aids. The audiologists at
the hearing aid center will help you to select the hearing aids that are
most appropriate for your hearing loss and lifestyle.

patients by scheduling appointments, routing incoming calls, processing
patients during appointments, and maintaining accurate records. Their
efforts are essential to provide you a pleasant and efficient office
experience.

Allergy Clinic
The Lippy Group Allergy Clinic is an integral part of the Lippy
Group for Ear, Nose and Throat. The following allergy procedures are
offered by our trained staff:
Imaging
Lippy Group for Ear, Nose and Throat offers specialized CT scans of the
sinuses and temporal bones. Adult scans take only 40 seconds and
pediatric scans take only 20 seconds. With the CT Scanner on-site we are
able to get a quick diagnosis by providing comprehensive radiologic
services and specialty sinus treatment.
The Warren Hearing & Research
Foundation (WHARF)
Advances in surgical techniques over
the past 40 years have enabled many people to
